$250 towards $10,000

Join me in supporting real change. Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. Help me empowered young Guatemalans to build a bright future for GuateMaya Alliance

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for GuateMaya Alliance

1. $25 - Provides a school bag for one student.
A school bag helps students carry their notebooks and materials every day.
2. $30 - Purchases three children's books for the library.
We continually update our children's book collection at the community library in San Mateo Ixtatán.
3. $50 - Covers one semester of school supplies.
Students need access to books, notebooks, photocopies of articles, and other materials to engage with their curriculum.
4. $75 - Funds one month of internet connection at the library.
Many students in rural areas lack internet access at home, so they come to the library to use it for research and schoolwork.
5. $100 - Supports materials for teacher planning and training.
Our teachers invest significant time in training and planning and often purchase materials for their students out of their own pockets.
6. $250 - Covers six months of tuition for a middle school student in San Mateo.
While cooperative and private schools charge minimal tuition for middle and high school, only elementary education is funded by the government in Guatemala.
7. $500 grant - Provides a three-month salary for a teacher.
Our teachers play a vital role in inspiring students to pursue higher education, and without salaries, we cannot retain them.
8. $1,000 grant - Funds three sessions of Project-Based Learning training.
Our teachers require continuous professional development through innovative educational workshops.
9. $10,000 grant - Supports six months of Project-Based Learning training for 20 teachers.
This enables after-school classes and holiday tutoring for nine students.
10. $25,000 grant - Provides funding for one full year of Project-Based Learning implementation in one school, benefiting an average of 200 students.
This grant revamps the entire curriculum of a traditional school.
11. $50,000 grant - Covers the construction of two classrooms using earth blocks.
These grants can build additional classrooms and administrative offices for rural communities. The lack of school infrastructure in highland areas drives many young people to migrate in search of better opportunities.
Thank you for considering how you can help this holiday season!
